Long recognized as one of the most idyllic and romantic honeymoon destinations in the world, overseas visitors are now able to get legally married in French Polynesia. The minimum 30-day residence criteria has been done away with under the new legislation. This means visitors will be able to get married in a romantic Tahitian ceremony as long as they also go through a civil ceremony. This must be conducted at a local city hall, at least one of which exists on each of our islands.
